Cuts:

From 1/2" flat, cut 11 spokes 18" long.  Mark the centers on the wrong side and 2 3/4" each side of the center mark.

From 5/8" flat, cut 5 spokes 22" long.  Mark the centers on the wrong side and 4 1/2" each side of the center mark.

Base:

Lay your 5 5/8" spokes horizontally in front of you.  Weave one 1/2 spoke over, under, over, under, over at the center mark.  Weave 5 spokes on each side of the center one, squaring your base to  9" x 5 1/2".  Twine 2 times with #2 or 3 round reed.  Upset your spokes.

Sides:

Weave 5 rows of 5/8" flat.  Your first row of weaving is behind the center spoke on the long side of the basket.  Pack your weavers down firmly.  Weave one final row of 1/4" flat.  Cut and tuck your spokes.  Insert your handle in the botom row of the center spoke on the long side of the basket.

Rim:

Rim your basket with 5/8" flat, inside and out.  Insert a piece of seagrass between the two rims and lash with 11/64" flat/oval making and "X" at the handles.
